SUNN makes energy efficient, transformative lights that promote human health, enliven interior environments, and reduce energy costs.

Composed of Cornell graduate students in engineering, design, and business, the team has designed a working prototype with the help of a grant from the EPA. SUNN's flagship product, the Sunnlight, is screw-in lightbulb replacement that uses our patent-pending solar-synchronous lighting technology to mimic natural sunlight indoors using energy efficient color-mixed LEDs. Our technology dynamically changes indoor lighting quality to replicate the outside sun - bringing sunshine to any room, in any building.

thinkplay

thinkplay is a software/hardware suite that gives musicians unprecedented control over their instruments. As well, thinkplay is a platform for entrepreneurship. The software program allows users to construct original musical effects to their exact specifications. Additionally, our innovative technology will allow users to assign digital sound clips to certain notes on their instrument. Most musicians have never had the capability of triggering digital sound clips, such as a bird chirping, from their musical instruments. thinkplay will fuse the ideas of what djs can do on their laptops, with what musicians can do with their instruments. These effects are then uploaded to the thinkplay pedalboard (hardware) and the musician takes it from there.

thinkplay offers an online store/social network component where users can upload and share their sound effects with the entire thinkplay community. Users can add their friends, read reviews, and explore sounds being built by others. This component is a medium for entrepreneurship, as it allows talented effect designers to sell their effects to other users. In addition, it creates an online marketplace where effects can be bought instantly without going to a store (similar to Apple's app store paradigm).

Our product out-performs existing effects pedal companies by giving complete autonomy to the musician. Currently, companies such as Boss and Digitech dictate a musicia's sound production by offering pedals with pre-installed sound effects. We remove this restraint and allow musicians to emit sounds from their instruments like never before. Quite fittingly our motto is "if you can think it you can play it". We believe this product will forever change musical performance and music itself.
